A successful resuscitation is only the beginning. After cardiac arrest, the brain and other organs may already have been injured by oxygen deprivation and reperfusion. Your support helps turn promising scientific signals into better-designed prospective studies.

The research question

Can carefully selected neuroprotective measures begin earlier, including before hospital arrival, and can their safety, thermal exposure and patient-relevant effect be measured reliably?

Good studies must define who may benefit, when an intervention should start, what biological exposure is achieved, which safety criteria apply and which neurological outcomes matter.

What donations can support

  • study protocols and endpoint selection;
  • evidence synthesis across preclinical and clinical research;
  • technical, regulatory and organizational preparation for controlled trials;
  • transparent publication of assumptions, evidence limits and data gaps.

Preclinical and external clinical findings can justify further investigation, but they are not proof that a specific technology improves patient outcomes.
